One of the impediments to adding content for a Christian blog is what topics to write about. I, myself, although a blogger for years now, also have been struggling with this. That’s why, In this post, we will discuss the ways to find Christian blog topics to write about.
Focus on Niche
Before we proceed to the ways of finding topics, let’s remember first the importance of focusing on a niche.
Choosing a niche is not the first step in starting a blog for nothing. It will guide you all the way to your blog success.Visit our partners, shoes – leaders in fashionable footwear!
One of the goals of choosing a niche is obtaining authority in a particular area.
Writing content on a specific targeted subject will build a topical authority that the search engines reward, putting the website on top of the rankings.
At times though, focusing on a niche to generate topics is overlooked.
Before finding a new theme somewhere, make sure that you already extracted all the potential topics on your niche.
With proper keyword research, this is possible.
Ways to Find Topics
Here are some of the techniques for finding topics for your Christian blog.
Related Searches
Google Related Searches are the search results at the bottom of the result page. These are composed of topics that are related to the keyword typed on the search bar.
In the above search result, “Christian Parenting” is a keyword typed in the search bar. When you scroll down, you’ll see the Related Searches with topic ideas, Christian Parenting Book, Christian Parenting Discipline, Christian Parenting Tips, and Christian Parenting PDF. With competitive analysis, you can write about these blog topics, and with strategic SEO, you can rank on the first page.
People Also Ask
People Also Ask (PAA) is a Google search results page (SERP) feature that provides users with additional questions about the original query, answering them quickly.
Just like Related Searches, it is a smart way of finding the topic for your next blog.
For example, let’s use “Christian Parenting” as our seed keyword again. While scrolling, you’ll see PAA on top of SERP. It shows questions that are related to the original search keyword. When you click each of these questions, it will provide you with more questions, enough to give you ideas to blog.
Google Search Console
Google Search Console is a tool that provides insights into a blog’s search visibility. It also scrapes additional keywords by collecting search inquiries from users.
This is by far one of my favorite techniques in looking for topics to write about. Underrated, this will give you tons of topics in your niche.
However, this is useful if you already run your website for quite a while.
This is an example of the performance tracking from Search Console. On the queries tab, you’ll see “Top queries” consisting of keywords or phrases that are searched by users. It also shows how many clicks and impressions these keywords got from your site.
If a keyword is not directly answered by your blog post, it is a massive opportunity. Write content that directly answers it to gain extra traffic.
